ROBOTIC PALLETISING

Personal Care Products

This robotic palletising cell was supplied to a leading manufacturer of personal care products to palletise shrink wrapped collations of different product types.

Palletising plastic tubs

The system supplied by Premier Automation comprises of an ABB IRB 460 palletising robot and a mechanical gripping system.

 

The gripper uses fingers which move between the rollers on the input conveyor to grip the product and transfer it to the pallet.

Robot palletising cell

This same gripper also incorporates vacuum technology to allow the robot to pick and place the cardboard interleaf which is placed between the layers of product.

Empty pallets are fed to the cell from a pallet magazine which together with the in-feed and out-feed conveyors were part of this turnkey system.
